Lucerne Elementary School Families and Staff: As we head into a new week of school it is important for everyone to be aware of our current situation in regards to the transmission of COVID-19 in our county and at our school. There has been a substantial increase to positive cases over the last week resulting in many staff and students having to quarantine. If this trend continues this week, we might have to make the decision to close classrooms or the entire school. If closure is deemed necessary, families will be notified as soon as possible but it might be very little notice. Our goal is to keep the school open and safe for those that attend. As a community member you can support us at the school by; Calling the school office and reporting any positive cases as soon as possible Keeping sick students at home If unvaccinated, test and quarantine quickly when you or a student has been exposed to a positive case Make sure that your students come to school with a well-fitting mask If you have not already received an at-home test kit we still have a few remaining to distribute to families. They are limited so please come by or call the office if you are interested in getting a testing kit.
