Unfortunately, there will be no bus service on Tuesday, October 31st. We apologize for the inconvenience. Bus service is planned to resume on Wednesday, November 1st.
We also want to remind families that students are not allowed to dress in costumes on Wednesday, October 31st. Thanks for respecting this expectation.
We want thank Sutter Lakeside Hospital for donating wonderful care packs to all of our teachers. It was so thoughtful to have our community partners support our school. Our students and teachers really appreciate the kindness.
Wednesday, October 25th will be a minimum day for all Lucerne Elementary School students. The minimum day schedule is as follows: TK – 3rd grades release at 1:00 p.m., Upper Grades 4-8 release at 1:30 p.m.

Lucerne Elementary will participate in Red Ribbon Week on October 23rd through October 27th. The theme of the 2023 Red Ribbon Week is, “Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free.”
Ribbon Week serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal commitment to live drug free lives with the ultimate goal being the creation of drug free America.
During Red Ribbon Week, There will be classroom activities, contests and students will have chances to win prizes.
Monday: “Pajama Day” cozy up in your PJ’s.
Tuesday: “Twinning Day” dress alike with a friend.
Wednesday: “Wacky Hair Day”
Thursday: “School Colors” wear your blue & white.
Friday: “Support a Sport” dress in your favorite sports team or sport wear.

Let's go for 100% attendance on Wednesday, October 4th! Fun activities will be planned for students and some special surprises too! Don't miss out on the fun day we have planned for you. Regular attendance fosters a classroom community between teachers and children. Students who attend school are more likely to succeed academically. Students gain background knowledge from discussions while learning in school. Attending school also provides time for social interactions with peers.

Parenting Support Groups are specifically designed to empower individuals and families with knowledge and skills for raising children in today's world. Families will learn about nurturing family skills and ways to encourage their children's success through good communication and life skills. A teacher collaboration day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th. A minimum day is scheduled for all students. Primary grades TK through 3rd will be released at 1:00pm. Upper grades 4th through 8th will be released at 1:30pm.

ONLINE REGISTRATION is available for the 2023/2024 school year. Parents who have an existing Schoolwise parent portal account will need to complete the first day registration packets online and update student medical information, addresses, telephone numbers, and emergency contacts. All 2023/2024 registrations must be completed online by August 8th at 12:00pm or students will not be enrolled in a class to start the first day of school. Computers are available in the school office to complete online registrations.
